Becoming a parent is one of life’s greatest adventures—but it can also feel overwhelming. Between endless Google searches, conflicting advice and the challenge of finding trustworthy information, it’s easy to spend more time researching than enjoying precious moments with your family.
I created My Little One because I wanted to make parenting in Ireland a little easier. During my own journey into parenthood, I experienced first-hand how difficult it could be to access balanced information about birth, navigate the high cost of childcare, and find reliable recommendations for products, services and family-friendly places. I often found myself searching through websites, parenting groups and forums, wishing there was one trusted place that brought everything together.
That’s exactly what My Little One aims to be.
One of the things I’m most passionate about is helping families discover experiences they can enjoy together. Our travel and days-out guides aren’t just lists of places to visit—they’re carefully chosen experiences designed to help families create meaningful memories, whether it’s exploring a hidden woodland walk, visiting a child-friendly attraction or finding a new favourite café.

I built the website because becoming a parent showed me how difficult it is to find trustworthy information. I experienced unnecessary medicalisation of birth; I was shocked by the cost of childcare, and realised parents spend hours searching dozens of websites and Facebook groups just to answer simple questions. I wanted to build the website I wish I’d had.
